Platform Engineer

As a Platforms Engineer on the Platforms Automation team at Macquarie, you will be a key player in developing solutions and bridging the gap between platform teams and application teams. Your role involves collaborating with stakeholders to deliver high-value solutions, developing microservices and user interfaces using an API-first approach, and planning, documenting, developing, and testing integrations with various platform services to automate the infrastructure lifecycle comprehensively. Additionally, you will participate in operational and support activities, focusing on developing DevOps tools to ensure the supportability and scalability of the services. Your strong software development skills in languages like Java, Python, or Golang, along with experience in developing web services using Spring Boot (Java) or Falcon/Fast (Python), will be essential for success in this role. Moreover, your expertise in CI/CD pipeline automation and knowledge of AWS, Docker, Bamboo, Argocd, or K8S, as well as experience with Observability tools and practices such as Prometheus, Grafana, will be valuable contributions to the team.
