Roles & Responsibilities for Plant Head

1) Daily round of the factory including inspection of log books and discussing

the previous days issues / deviations and providing feedback for

improvement

2) Ensure productivity of machines

3) Ensure quality of finished goods and intermedatory goods are as per

standard norms

4) Review of daily operations with functional heads and taking corrective &

preventive actions

5) Co ordinate with maintenance teams to reduce downtimes and plan for

preventive maintenance

6) Study wastages and take corrective actions

7) Review of finished goods stock and co ordinate with marketing and organise

dispatches

8) Daily review of production plan and execution of the same

9) Optimisation of available Manpower and reduction of OT/ manpower costs

10) Review of daily, weekly & monthly MIS reports and present to the Directors

a) Wastage of the day and wastage up to date (Pharma / non Pharma)

b) WIP Report

c) GAL wastage status

d) Inter unit transfer with proper invoices

e) Review of Google sheet consumption entries

f) Control of Job Cards

11) Study of the jobs with Printing Manager and Quality Manager and reporting

deviations if any to the Director Operations / Marketing

12) Maintain good housekeeping in the factory

13) Ensure Safety of Men & machines in the factory

14) Organise for monthly stock taking and report to Directors within agreed

timelines

15) Daily WIP report to be studied and shared, and action taken to convert them

into FG

16) Co ordinate with customers along with Quality Manager on quality issues and

take appropriate action and prevention

17) Ensure that the systems and processes are maintained as per various audit

requirements

18) Overseeing of administrative activities, HR, security, local purchase, etc

19) Training of persons

20) Follow up with Vendors on delivery of critical RM / PM through purchase

21) Any other instructions given by the Directors from time to time.
