Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Scheduling

    • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using tools like Primavera P6, MS Project, or other scheduling software.
    • Define project milestones, deliverables, and critical paths to ensure that all project goals are met on time.
    • Break down complex high-rise construction activities into smaller, manageable tasks and allocate resources accordingly.

Cost & Time Control

    • Coordinate with project teams to establish project timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.
    • Monitor project progress against schedule and provide regular updates to senior management.
    • Analyze deviations from the baseline schedule and propose corrective actions.

Resource & Procurement Management

    • Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely availability of materials and subcontractor services as per the project schedule.
    • Collaborate with site managers and contractors to optimize resource utilization and resolve any scheduling conflicts.

Risk Management

    • Identify potential risks and delays in the construction process and provide recommendations for mitigation.
    • Implement risk management strategies in coordination with the project manager to minimize project disruptions.

Progress Monitoring & Reporting

    • Monitor and report daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports to stakeholders.
    • Review contractor and subcontractor schedules and performance, ensuring alignment with the overall project timeline.
    • Track work performance, identify delays, and provide analysis of corrective actions.

Collaboration & Coordination

    • Work closely with design teams, engineers, subcontractors, and site management to integrate all aspects of the project.
    • Facilitate communication between all project stakeholders to resolve scheduling issues and ensure smooth workflow.
    • Attend project meetings to present updates, address challenges, and propose solutions.

Quality Assurance & Compliance

    • Ensure that all planning and scheduling practices comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
    • Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure that all project phases meet quality expectations within the scheduled timelines.

Qualifications

Education

    • Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

Experience

    • Minimum 10 years of experience as a Planning Engineer.
    • Experience in project scheduling for large-scale construction projects, specifically in commercial and high-rise sectors.

Technical Skills

    • Advanced proficiency in scheduling software (Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar tools).
