Planning Engineer

Responsible for preparation of monthly manufacturing plan, execution of setup wheel for machine setup optimization. Load shop floor as per manufacturing plan, review work in progress status, communicate shortages to buyers. Ensure timely dispatches to the customer, daily update KPI boards. Drive continuous improvement in information flow and material flow to reduced internal process lead time.

Role & responsibilities:

• Preparation of Monthly & Quarterly Manufacturing Plan to meet customer expected delivery
• Calculate material shortages to the manufacturing plan liaising with supply chain to expedite late material
• Experience in machine and resource capacity planning referencing a skills matrix
• Experience in a project driven machine & assembly jobbing shop, Prepare Manning Planning in line with manufacturing plan
• Daily review with Internal suppliers & supply chain
• Communicate promptly with buyers, Sales, Engineering, Production and Quality to highlight potential/ actual bottlenecks to ensure on-time delivery to the customer
• Tracking of order executions from booking to dispatch, Analysis of On-time Delivery & Lead Time metric & strive for continuous improvements in these areas
• Review of finished goods daily to understand & resolve issues related to inventory levels
• Continuous improvement on shop floor information flow and material flow to reduced internal process lead time
• Update and present KPI boards daily and lead KPIs
• Continuous improvement on shop floor information flow and material flow to reduced internal process lead time
• Understand manufacturing processes employed to create actual product routing steps in MRP system
• Experience in managing multiple projects and directly interacting with customers.

Required Qualifications/Experience:

• B.E. in Mechanical / Production / Industrial engineering.
• 5 - 8 years Manufacturing Planning experience
• Instrumental in operating Excel, ERP, and PowerPoint
• Good Analytical abilities
• Good interpersonal & communication skills
• API Spec Q-1 knowledge
