PKF Canberra - Senior Accountant (Bookkeeper)

Key Roles And Responsibilities

We are in search of an individual who will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive services to our clients. This position offers exposure to various domains, including but not limited to:

• Expert Financial Reporting across a diverse range of business entities
• Skilful Tax Compliance for entities of various structures, alongside detailed advisory services
• In-depth Research into taxation and business matters
• Proficiency in widely used accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, BGL, etc.
  

To be considered for this role, your background should ideally include:

• Qualified or semi-qualified Chartered Accountant
• Have at least 5+ years of bookkeeping experience in a public practice accounting firm or any big firm post articles.
• 5+ years of Australian bookkeeping experience is a must.
• Proficient in Xero is ideal. Exposure to MYOB and QuickBooks is preferred.
• Experience in payroll is preferred.
• Knowledge of GST matters.
• Attention to detail concerning descriptions in accounting files, BAS work papers, payroll processes and month-end work papers.
• Xero Accreditation is recommended.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• A positive and adaptable attitude
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
