Piping Specialities & Valve Engineer

Role Overview: As the Technical Specialist for piping specialities and valves, your main responsibilities will include: Key Responsibilities: - Creating technical specifications for piping specialities and valves, and ensuring the release of Material Requisitions (MR) - Conducting technical bid evaluations for piping specialities and valves in accordance with customer technical specifications - Approving vendor drawings and calculations - Managing vendor drawings and documents effectively Qualifications Required: - Extensive experience in technical bid evaluation - Proficient in material selection for water and steam applications - Familiarity with various types of valves and piping specialities such as expansion joints, steam traps, sight flow glasses, restricted orifice, strainers, and flexible hoses for steam and water applications - Knowledge of ASME, ASME BPVC, ASTM, and IBR codes and standards - Ability to review and prepare material take-offs and estimates - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word - Basic understanding of power plant supercritical boilers (Note: No additional details about the company were provided in the job description),
