Job Description

Job Title: Neuro Psychologist

Branch Name: Brain and Spine Medicity

Qualification: M. Sc Neuro Psychology

Location: Kannur

Employment Type: Full time

Department: Neuro Rehabilitation

Assessment & Diagnosis:

Conduct detailed neuropsychological evaluations to assess memory, attention, language, perception, and cognitive functioning.
Diagnose conditions such as brain injury, stroke, dementia, ADHD, learning disabilities, or neurological disorders.

Rehabilitation Planning:

Develop individualized cognitive rehabilitation and behavior management plans.
Support recovery in patients with neurological impairments through therapy.

Therapy & Intervention:

Provide cognitive-behavioral therapy, counseling, and coping strategies.
Help patients adapt to cognitive deficits through compensatory techniques.

Monitoring & Progress Evaluation:

Track patient progress through repeated testing and observation.
Modify treatment plans as necessary based on response to therapy.

Family & Caregiver Education:

Educate families on the nature of neurological conditions and how to support the patient.
Provide strategies to manage behavior, memory loss, or emotional regulation.

Collaboration with Healthcare Team:

Work closely with neurologists, psychiatrists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and educators.
Participate in case discussions and interdisciplinary meetings.

Documentation & Reporting:

Prepare detailed evaluation reports and therapy summaries.
Maintain accurate records of assessments, interventions, and patient progress.

Research & Program Development (if applicable):

Contribute to research on brain-behavior relationships and neurorehabilitation techniques.
Develop neuropsychological programs for special populations or settings.

Requirements

Expertise in brain-behavior relationships
Proficiency in psychological testing and diagnosis
Strong analytical and observation skills
Empathy and emotional resilience
Communication and report-writing skills
Ability to work with patients of all ages
Knowledge of neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative disorders
Teamwork and multidisciplinary collaboration
