Job Description

Junior Photographer Digenie (In office - Egmore, Chennai)

Role overview

A junior creative who supports the content team by capturing, editing, and delivering photos and videos for digital platforms, along with basic poster/visual design for social media and internal needs.

Key responsibilities

Shoot photos and short-form videos for client brands and Digenie's own channels (events, products, people, behind-the-scenes).
Set up and manage basic lighting, audio, and camera equipment during shoots.
Edit photos (color correction, cropping, retouching) and export in required formats for web and social media.
Edit videos for reels, shorts, and simple brand videos (cutting, sequencing, basic transitions, music, and text overlays).
Design simple posters, thumbnails, and social media creatives based on brand guidelines using templates or provided copy.
Maintain an organized library of raw and edited files with proper naming and backups.
Coordinate with the marketing/design team to understand briefs, shot lists, and deadlines, and deliver creatives on time.
Assist senior creatives on larger shoots and campaigns as needed.

Required skills

Basic to intermediate skills in photography (framing, composition, exposure, focus).
Working knowledge of photo and video editing tools (e.g., Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, CapCut, or similar).
Basic graphic design sense for layouts, fonts, and colors for posters/social posts.
Understanding of content formats for Instagram, YouTube, and other digital platforms (ratios, durations, resolutions).
Good communication, time management, and willingness to learn and take feedback.

Nice-to-have

Prior internship/freelance experience creating content for brands or personal social media.
Basic knowledge of motion graphics or simple animations.
