Job Description

Urgent Hiring for Phlebotomy ( B&M Retail ) - 50/50 Store/Home Collection

Role & responsibilities

Patient Interaction & Care

Explaining procedures
to patients and answering their questions to ensure they are informed and consent to treatment.
Ensuring patient comfort
and safety, especially for those who are nervous, anxious, or have a fear of needles.

Technical and Clinical Duties

Verifying patient identity
and reviewing doctors' orders to ensure the correct tests are performed and samples labeled accurately.
Drawing blood
using appropriate techniques, such as venipuncture, fingersticks, or heel sticks (for infants), and selecting the correct equipment (needles, vials, etc.).

Sample Management & Administration

Accurately labeling and documenting
collected specimens with patient information to prevent mix-ups.
Preparing and storing samples
according to laboratory protocols to maintain sample integrity before transportation.
Transporting samples
to the laboratory for testing or to blood banks/donation centers. ( HOME COLLECTION )

Preferred candidate profile

Qualification - DMLT - BMLT - MLT

Minimum 1 year experience into phlebotomy
