Pharmacy Assistant

As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting licensed pharmacists in various tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the pharmacy while upholding high standards of accuracy, hygiene, and patient safety. Key Responsibilities: - Assist pharmacists in accurately dispensing medications to inpatients, outpatients, and different departments. - Receive and verify prescriptions, checking dosage, instructions, and stock availability. - Label, pack, and organize medicines following prescriptions and hospital protocols. - Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and restock shelves to maintain adequate stock levels. - Regularly check expiry dates and remove expired or near-expiry drugs in line with the policy. - Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the pharmacy area according to infection control guidelines. - Help prepare monthly and daily reports on medicine usage, indents, and stock updates. - Ensure proper storage of all medications, including temperature-controlled storage for cold-chain drugs. - Provide courteous assistance to patients and staff, addressing basic queries under supervision. - Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. - Assist during audits, inspections, and inventory verification processes.
