Job Description

Medication Management: Dispensing Medications: Accurately preparing and dispensing prescription medications to patients based on physician orders. Drug Information Services: Providing expert advice to physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals on medication selection, dosage, administration, and potential drug interactions. Inventory Management: Managing the hospital's pharmaceutical stock, including ordering, receiving, storing, and maintaining appropriate levels of medications. Compounding Medications: Preparing customized medications when commercially available products are not suitable for a patient. Quality Control: Ensuring the quality and safety of medications by inspecting, testing, and monitoring their storage conditions. Medication Reconciliation: Working with patients and other healthcare professionals to ensure accuracy of medication lists during transitions of care (e.g., admission, discharge).
