PGT Psychology cum counsellor

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a PGT Psychology cum Counsellor at Delhi Public School Jamnagar. The PGT Psychology cum Counsellor will be responsible for teaching psychology subjects to senior secondary students, conducting individual and group counseling sessions, developing and implementing mental health programs, and collaborating with teachers and parents to address students' academic and emotional needs. The role also involves maintaining records of student progress and well-being, and participating in school events and parent-teacher meetings as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of psychology and experience in teaching senior secondary students
• Proficient in conducting individual and group counseling sessions
• Skills in developing and implementing mental health programs
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain records and track student progress
• Experience in organizing and participating in school events
• Master's degree in Psychology or related field
• Relevant certifications or licenses in counseling are a plus
