PGT BIOLOGY - BIOTECHNOLOGY (PART TIME )

Qualifications and Skills:

• Educational Qualification: Master’s Degree in Biotechnology (M.Sc. in Biotechnology or equivalent).
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in Biotechnology at the senior secondary level (Grades 11-12) is preferred.

• Strong knowledge of the subject and current developments in the field of Biotechnology.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to explain complex concepts in a simple and engaging manner.
• Proficiency in using educational technology and digital tools for teaching and assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teaching and Instruction:
• Deliver lessons in Biotechnology as per the curriculum prescribed by the educational board.
• Use effective teaching methods, instructional resources, and materials to engage students in the learning process.
• Conduct practicals, demonstrations, and experiments to help students understand complex biotechnological concepts.
• Maintain a clear understanding of curriculum requirements and ensure that students are well-prepared for examinations.
• Prepare and administer regular assessments (tests, quizzes, assignments) to evaluate students' understanding of the subject.
• Provide constructive feedback to students on their academic progress and areas for improvement.
• Prepare and grade final exams, and ensure accurate record-keeping of student performance.
• Classroom Management:
• Foster a positive and disciplined learning environment where students feel encouraged to participate and ask questions.
• Address students' academic and personal concerns, and provide guidance where necessary.
• Implement effective classroom management techniques to ensure a conducive environment for learning.
• Curriculum Development:
• Contribute to the development of teaching materials, resources, and lesson plans.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in biotechnology and integrate these into the curriculum to enhance students’ learning experience.
• Parent-Teacher Communication:
• Regularly communicate with parents regarding students’ academic performance and behavior.
• Participate in parent-teacher meetings and provide valuable insights into student development.
• Professional Development:
• Engage in continuous learning and professional development to enhance teaching skills and subject knowledge.
• Attend workshops, conferences, and training sessions related to Biotechnology and teaching methodologies.
