Perimeter Security Specialist - Microsoft Azure

The Perimeter Security Specialist will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing perimeter security solutions within Microsoft Azure environments. This role focuses on safeguarding the organization's cloud infrastructure by ensuring robust network security, protecting against external threats, and maintaining a secure perimeter for hybrid and cloud-native environments. The specialist will work closely with security, network, and cloud teams to implement Zero Trust principles, enforce security policies, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities::

Design and Implementation

• Architect and deploy perimeter security solutions in Microsoft Azure, including:
• Deep expertise in configuring Azure Landing Zone with a Hub-and-Spoke architecture to establish a scalable, secure, and well-governed cloud environment.
• Azure Firewall for network traffic filtering and application rule enforcement.
• Web Application Firewall (WAF) to protect web applications from common vulnerabilities.
• Azure DDoS Protection to mitigate distributed denial-of-service attacks. • Network Security Groups (NSGs) and Application Security Groups (ASGs) to enforce granular traffic control.
• Design and implement secure Azure Virtual Network (VNet) architectures, including subnets, peering, and service endpoints.
• Configure and maintain Azure Bastion for secure remote access to virtual machines. Policy Enforcement and Monitoring
• Define and enforce perimeter security policies aligned with Zero Trust principles.
• Monitor and analyze network traffic using tools like Azure Monitor, Network Watcher, and Log Analytics.
• Implement threat detection and intrusion prevention systems (IPS) to identify and mitigate malicious activities.
• Integrate perimeter security solutions with Microsoft Defender for Cloud to enhance visibility and compliance.
