Performance Tester

A Performance Tester is responsible for planning, designing, and executing performance test plans to ensure software applications meet speed, scalability, and stability requirements under various conditions. They use tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or BlazeMeter to simulate load, stress, and scalability tests, analyze test results, identify bottlenecks, and provide actionable recommendations to optimize application performance. They collaborate with development, QA, and infrastructure teams, monitor system metrics, and prepare reports to support software reliability and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing performance test plans and scripts.
• Executing load, stress, endurance, and scalability tests.
• Monitoring and analyzing system performance metrics such as response time, throughput, CPU, memory, and network usage.
• Identifying performance issues and bottlenecks, conducting root cause analysis.
• Collaborating with stakeholders including developers, QA, and infrastructure teams.
• Reporting test findings, documenting defects, and recommending optimizations.
• Staying updated with industry trends, new tools, and best practices in performance testing.
