Job Summary

Senior Applications Engineer (Performance Engineering)

Key Responsibilities

LoadRunner, JMeter, and Selenium

Prometheus, New Relic, and DynaTrace

Collaborate with development teams to optimize code, architecture, and database performance for maximum efficiency.

Establish and maintain a proactive performance monitoring framework to anticipate and resolve issues before user impact.

CI/CD pipeline

business requirements and non-functional requirements (NFRs)

Continuously monitor applications for emerging performance trends, adjusting testing approaches accordingly.

Share best practices and mentor peers to embed performance engineering principles throughout the SDLC.

Communicate complex technical insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications & Skills

Mandatory:

Engineering / Computer Science

4+ years of experience

JMeter, LoadRunner, Prometheus, DynaTrace, Jenkins, and JProfiler

Oracle Database architecture

Kubernetes, Docker, and microservices architecture

performance testing types

UNIX shell scripting

Good-to-Have:

Java, C, or Python

Grafana, Kibana, and other observability tools

REST/SOAP web services, XML, and related technologies

DevOps or Agile

Strong analytical and communication skills with a focus on continuous improvement.

Self-Assessment Questions

Have I designed and executed end-to-end performance tests using tools like JMeter or LoadRunner across complex applications

Do I have hands-on experience optimizing SQL queries, analyzing AWR/ASH reports, and tuning Oracle database performance

Am I comfortable working with Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines to integrate automated performance testing

Have I identified and resolved system bottlenecks using observability tools such as Prometheus or DynaTrace

Do I proactively analyze real-time performance data and translate insights into actionable recommendations for developers and stakeholders
