Job Title: Pediatric Cardiac Surgeon

Department: Cardiac Surgery / Pediatric Cardiology

Location: Banjara Hills, Hyderabad

Reports To: Chief of Cardiothoracic Surgery

Position Summary:

Pediatric Cardiac Surgeon

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform complex open-heart surgeries, including repairs of congenital heart defects, valve repairs/replacements, and heart transplants.
• Diagnose pediatric cardiac conditions in collaboration with cardiologists and other specialists.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for each patient.
• Participate in preoperative evaluations, surgical planning, and postoperative care.
• Provide consultations and education to patients' families regarding treatment options, surgical risks, and recovery expectations.
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, intensivists, and nursing staff to ensure comprehensive care.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and surgical best practices.
• Participate in ongoing research, clinical trials, and continuous education to advance pediatric cardiac surgery techniques.
• Contribute to training and mentoring of junior surgeons, residents, and medical students.
• Maintain thorough and accurate medical records and documentation.

Qualifications:

• Medical Degree (MD or equivalent).

• Board Certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
• Fellowship in Pediatric Cardiac Surgery from a recognized institution.
• Valid medical license to practice in [State/Region].
• Minimum of 3-5 years post-fellowship experience in pediatric cardiac surgery preferred.
• Proven expertise in performing a wide range of pediatric cardiac procedures.
