Pantry Commi 1 (Cold)

The Pantry Commi I (Cold Kitchen) is responsible for preparing and presenting cold dishes, including salads, dressings, cold appetizers, canapés, and sandwiches, in accordance with the kitchen standards. This role supports the kitchen team in maintaining high-quality food preparation and hygiene standards, ensuring smooth operation of the cold kitchen section.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of all cold kitchen items, including salads, cold cuts, garnishes, sandwiches, and cold appetizers.
• Ensure proper portion control and presentation of dishes.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cold kitchen and pantry area.
• Store food items properly and ensure labeling and rotation (FIFO method).
• Follow recipes and instructions provided by the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef.
• Assist in setting up for buffets, banquets, and à la carte cold dishes.
• Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
• Support in inventory control and stock management of cold kitchen items.
• Communicate effectively with other sections and service staff.

Requirements:

• Basic culinary education or relevant experience in a cold kitchen.
• Previous experience as a Commi or trainee in a hotel or restaurant kitchen preferred.
• Knowledge of cold food preparation techniques and plating.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to food hygiene.
• Willingness to learn and take direction.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹23,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
