Job Title: Panel Saw Operator

Reporting To: Production Supervisor / Factory Manager

Job Summary:

The Panel Saw Operator is responsible for operating the panel saw machine to accurately cut wooden panels, MDF, particle boards, or plywood as per the required dimensions and production drawings. The role involves ensuring precision, maintaining quality standards, and following all safety procedures in the woodworking factory.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate panel saw machines (manual or CNC) according to cutting lists and production schedules.
• Read and interpret cutting plans, technical drawings, and job orders accurately.
• Optimize panel cutting to minimize wastage and improve material yield.
• Perform quality checks to ensure all parts meet dimensional and finish standards.
• Handle and stack cut panels properly to avoid damage.
• Maintain machine cleanliness, alignment, and blade sharpness for consistent performance.
• Record production data such as output quantity, wastage, and material usage.
• Follow all safety guidelines and PPE requirements in the factory.
• Assist in basic maintenance and troubleshooting of the machine.
• Coordinate with supervisors, production planners, and other operators to ensure timely completion of jobs.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of panel saw operations and woodworking processes.
• Ability to read cutting layouts and furniture drawings.
• Attention to detail and high precision in measurements.
• Good understanding of different wood materials and their properties.
• Basic mechanical skills for blade changes and adjustments.
• Awareness of safety practices and housekeeping in a wood factory.

Qualifications & Experience:

Minimum Qualification: 10th pass / ITI in Carpentry or Woodworking (preferred).

Experience: 2–5 years as a Panel Saw Operator in a modular furniture or woodworking setup.

Machine Knowledge: Familiarity with brands like Altendorf, Holzher, Felder, or similar.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹23,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
