Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Make a repository of packaging machinery in the cluster.
Analyse the machinery and categorize the machines as A, B and C class.
Strategy for planned maintenance of the different classes of packaging machines.
Help the engineering team to conduct RCA of failures.
Monitoring the performance of packaging machines.
Build safety around the packaging machinery and help in mitigating the same.
Help in cost evaluation of the spares and timelines to support the factory teams.
To train and improve the understanding of the packaging machinery to the teams.
Share the reports of the performance of A class machines on weekly basis.
Discuss on critical equipment failure in the week and share the RCA, take help from the team if further help is required.
Lead the Packaging machinery Team plans across the cluster in training and implementing necessary key improvement plans.
Identify new vendors for evaluation.
Lead the project related packaging machinery installation and commissioning.
Understand the requirement of the project and finalize the packing hall layouts, get alignment of the factory and cluster head for the specifications.
Make URS (user required specifications) and finalize the same for RFQS.
Be a part of FAT (factory acceptance test) at the vendors place along with the teams and check the machine performance.
Be part of the factory team during SAT (Site Acceptance Tests) and help the factory and the vendor to complete the tests successfully.

Preferred candidate profile

6 to 12 years of suitable experience
B.E/B.Tech (Mechanical) is mandatory
Suitable Packaging Lines experience in Design, Commissioning & Maintenance
FMCG industry experience is must
