Job Title: Staff Nurse – Maternity HDU Location: Ovum Hospitals, HSR Layout, Bangalore Department: Nursing – Obstetrics & Maternity Reports To: Nursing In-Charge / Unit Nursing Supervisor Job Summary: Ovum Hospitals, a leading maternity and child healthcare provider, is seeking experienced and compassionate Staff Nurses for the Maternity High Dependency Unit (HDU) at our HSR Layout branch. The role involves providing critical nursing care and close monitoring to high-risk maternity patients. Key Responsibilities: Deliver focused nursing care to obstetric patients admitted in the HDU, including those with complications during labor, post-delivery, or post-surgery. Monitor vital signs, fetal heart rate, and other clinical indicators; escalate any abnormalities to the attending physician promptly. Administer prescribed medications and assist with procedures such as inductions, C-sections, and emergency interventions. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation as per hospital protocols. Follow infection control and patient safety protocols rigorously. Provide emotional support and clear communication to patients and families regarding care procedures. Collaborate with the obstetrics team, anesthetists, and NICU staff for comprehensive maternal and neonatal care. Participate in shift handovers, audits, drills, and continuous education activities.
