Outpatient Clerk

As an Op Assistant at our organization, your primary role will be to take care of our patients in the Outpatient Department. You will be responsible for general clerical and administrative duties to ensure patient safety and a positive experience for all individuals you interact with. Key Responsibilities: - Work independently with delegated responsibility under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and the Outpatient manager. - Handle all relevant inquiries related to the Outpatient department efficiently by liaising with patients, Consultants, and other hospital staff. - Provide excellent customer service to patients and their relatives as a part of the multidisciplinary team. - Demonstrate effective communication skills and provide emotional support to patients who may be experiencing anxiety, distress, or worry. - Adapt to the changing needs of the hospital and participate in department resource management. - Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients while adhering to DNDs Policy on Infection Control and Prevention. - Report adverse incidents as per the organization's policy. Qualifications Required: - Previous experience in a healthcare setting or similar role would be advantageous. - Strong communication skills and the ability to provide emotional support to patients. - Ability to work independently and as a part of a multidisciplinary team effectively. - Flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of the hospital.
