The role of an Op Assistant involves taking care of patients in the Outpatient Department and handling general clerical and administrative duties. It is crucial to maintain patient safety and ensure a positive patient experience by treating everyone with respect and dignity as per the organization's values. Your main responsibilities will include working independently under the guidance of a Registered Nurse and the Outpatient manager, managing patient care, and handling departmental administration. Efficiently handling enquiries related to the Outpatient department by liaising with patients, Consultants, and other hospital staff is also a key aspect of the role. As a member of the multidisciplinary team, you will be expected to provide excellent customer service to patients and their relatives. Effective communication skills are essential for interacting with patients and their families, offering emotional support to those in need. Being adaptable, flexible, and responsive to the hospital's changing needs is crucial for success in this role. Additionally, you will be involved in department resource management, maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients, and adhering to infection control policies. Reporting adverse incidents in line with organizational procedures is also part of your responsibilities. This is a full-time position with benefits such as provided food.
