OT TECHNICIAN

As an OT Technician, your main responsibility is to ensure the smooth and safe functioning of surgical operations. This involves preparing and maintaining the operation theatre, assisting surgeons and anesthetists during surgical procedures, and maintaining adherence to aseptic techniques and hospital protocols. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare the operation theatre before surgery by ensuring cleanliness, sterilization, and proper arrangement of equipment. - Verify patient's identity, surgical site, and procedure following safety protocols. - Assist the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments, maintaining a sterile field, and monitoring equipment. - Assist in post-operative duties such as transferring patients to the recovery room/ICU, cleaning and sterilizing instruments, and maintaining stock of consumables. - Maintain records of instruments, OT supplies, and sterilization. Assist in administrative tasks like maintaining case records and OT registers. Qualification Required: - Diploma / Degree in OT Technician or relevant paramedical qualification. - Knowledge of surgical instruments, sterilization techniques, and OT protocols. - Good communication and teamwork skills. - Ability to work in emergency situations and under pressure. - Strong sense of responsibility, discipline, and infection control awareness.
