Job Description

The opportunity:

In this role, as a senior consultant in GDS Consulting, you will lead the implementation of Ciena/ Blue Planet products and integration with the telecommunications operators Operations Support Systems (OSS). You will be responsible for ensuring that a quality, integrated software solution is delivered in a timely manner, at budget, and to our client's satisfaction.

Your key responsibilities:

Delivery and Product implementation, configuration, extensions, and integrations for OSS systems involving Ciena Blue Planets suite of products.

Actively drive & participate in Business Analysis and requirements gathering, Design, Development, Testing, Deployment, Data Migration and Support

You will leverage your expertise in Ciena Blue Planets Assurance suite of products such as Unified Assurance and Analytics (UAA) to build service lifecycle automation related capabilities for telcos by developing and configuring resource adapters, correlation rules, KPIs and analytics dashboards.

Assist in the development and implementation of AI models and systems, leveraging techniques such as Language Models (LLMs) and generative AI.

You will develop system and process requirements.

You will map OSS software capabilities to those needs and build consensus around the solution, proposes technical solutions to system requirements.

You will develop applicable process and system change documentation; Develop and distribute project related documentation.

You will provide oversight on assigned component tasks.

You will coordinate with regional/global teams on project objectives.

You build and maintain long-term relationships with senior clients.

Delivering qualified solutions to meet business objectives, providing focus to ensure scope and objectives are maintained throughout the project and program life cycles ensuring benefits realization.

Result oriented leadership style, setting achievable goals and leading by example linking commercial and technical arenas.

To qualify for the role, you must have:

Consultant with minimum of 5+ Years proven experience and significant knowledge and professionalism gained from years of OSS and Telecommunications products and implementation experience.

Working knowledge of OSS products and services, specific experience in implementing solutions and in systems integrations.

Must have experience with Blue Planet Unified Assurance and Analytics (UAA) and other observability tools.

Conceptual / Practical ExperienceFault management, Performance management, NMS, EMS, SIEM, APM, Log Agg tools, Python, Bash, Powershell, REST API, SNMP, Netconf/YANG, SQL, Git, Kubernetes, Docker, Cloud VPC, AI/ML

In-depth knowledge of machine learning, deep learning, and generative AI techniques.

Preferred experience in at least one of the OSS COTS products (E.g., Blue Planet, Netcracker, Ericsson, Nokia, etc.)

Knowledge in Databases, programming languages and platforms

Expertise to review and approve design and development solution documents, internal and external test strategies, plans and scripts.

Knowledge of and preferably certification in TMForums Open Digital Architecture (ODA) frameworks and Open APIs.

Exceptional quantitative skills enabling identification of key business issues and progression of solutions.

A bachelors degree in Electronics/Computer Science/Information Technology/ or any other relevant discipline.
