Job Description

As an experienced Infra. Technology Specialist focusing on PostgreSQL and Oracle Golden Gate, your primary responsibility will be to manage and optimize the database infrastructure for high availability and performance. This hybrid role offers flexibility to work remotely and on-site with no travel requirements. - Oversee installation, configuration, and maintenance of PostgreSQL and Oracle Golden Gate databases. - Ensure secure, reliable, and optimal performance of database systems. - Monitor and implement performance tuning measures for database performance. - Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies for data integrity. - Collaborate with development teams to design and optimize database schemas. - Provide technical support and troubleshooting for database-related issues. - Create and maintain documentation for database configurations, processes, and procedures. - Implement and manage database replication and data integration solutions. - Conduct regular database audits to ensure compliance with industry standards. - Plan and execute database upgrades and migrations with minimal downtime. - Automate routine tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention. - Stay updated with the latest database technologies and best practices. - Participate in an on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical database systems. Qualification Required: - Strong expertise in PostgreSQL and Oracle Golden Gate. - Solid understanding of database security and performance tuning. - Experience in database backup and recovery strategies. - Proficiency in database replication and data integration solutions. - Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. - Strong communication and collaboration abilities. - Capability to work independently and as part of a team. - Commitment to continuous learning and professional development. - Track record of successfully managing database upgrades and migrations. - Familiarity with automation tools and scripting languages. - Understanding of industry standards and compliance requirements. - Ability to document technical processes clearly and concisely. - Proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential issues.
