Job Description

Job Summary:

The Oracle Fusion Finance Functional Consultant is responsible for implementing, configuring, and supporting Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials modules. The role involves working closely with finance stakeholders and technical teams to gather business requirements, design solutions, manage configurations, support integrations, and ensure successful delivery of Oracle Fusion Finance modules aligned with organizational goals and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and participate in end-to-end implementation of Oracle Fusion Financials modules (e.g., GL, AP, FA, CM, Expenses, SLA).
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyse requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
  • Configure Oracle Fusion applications according to business needs, ensuring alignment with accounting and reporting standards.
  • Support data migration activities including mapping, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation.
  • Work with technical teams to design and test integrations with other Oracle and third-party applications.
  • Conduct functional testing, UAT, and system validation ensuring smooth deployment and minimal disruption to business.
  • Provide post-implementation support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
  • Prepare and maintain functional documentation, setup guides, and training materials.
  • Support process improvements and continuous optimization of financial systems.
  • Stay current with Oracle Cloud updates and releases, assessing impacts and advising on adoption of new features.

Required Skills and Experience:

5+ years of experience as an Oracle Financials Functional Consultant, with at least 2 full-cycle Oracle Fusion Cloud implementations.

Strong hands-on experience in one or more modules:

General Ledger (GL)

Accounts Payable (AP)

Fixed Assets (FA)

Cash Management (CM)

Subledger Accounting (SLA)

Expenses

  • Solid understanding of financial accounting principles and business processes.
  • Knowledge of OTBI, BI Publisher, and FRS for financial reporting.
  • Experience in P2P business cycles.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Fusion Security, Roles, and Workflow configuration.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and global environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Oracle Certified Cloud Financials Consultant certification.
  • Experience with SOX compliance, multi-entity / multi-currency environments, and shared services.
  • Exposure to Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) or other middleware tools.
  • Background in project accounting or enterprise performance management (EPM) is a plus.

Education:

B-Tech (or) Bachelors degree in finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
