Oracle Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business and technical requirements to design efficient SQL queries, PL/SQL stored procedures, functions, and packages.
• Design, maintain, and optimize database schemas, tables, indexes, and relationships to ensure high performance and scalability.
• Review and refactor existing SQL/PLSQL logic to improve efficiency and maintainability.
• Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks in queries and optimize execution plans.
• Collaborate closely with application developers to integrate database logic with

  Java-based backend services or APIs.

• Write and maintain Java components (DAO/service layers) interacting with Oracle databases using JDBC, Hibernate, or JPA.
• Participate in code reviews, ensure adherence to database and application development best practices.
• Work with DBAs for schema deployments, performance tuning, and database health monitoring.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 3 to 6 years of hands-on experience in

  Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development.

• Strong understanding of

  query tuning, indexing strategies, and schema design.

• Proficiency in writing and debugging

  stored procedures, triggers, and packages.

• Decent experience with

  Java development

  preferably with

  Core Java, JDBC, Collections, Exception Handling, and basic Multithreading.

• Familiarity with

  Spring/Spring Boot

  framework for backend API development (preferred).
• Good understanding of

  transaction management, error handling, and database connectivity from Java.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Good to Have

• Experience with

  ORM frameworks

  like Hibernate/JPA.
• Exposure to

  ETL processes, data migration, or reporting systems.

• Familiarity with

  version control tools

  such as Git or SVN.
