Oracle DBA _ Exadata

As an experienced Oracle DBA with a strong background in Exadata and RAC, you will be responsible for database performance tuning, optimization, backup, and recovery strategies. You should possess excellent problem-solving skills and thrive in a collaborative environment. A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required along with exceptional communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences effectively. Your responsibilities will include leading the migration of Oracle databases to Exadata Cloud Service on OCI, designing low-downtime migration strategies, and performing performance tuning, SQL optimization, and issue resolution. Additionally, you will manage Oracle RAC, ASM, backups, patching, cloning, and DR environments while closely working with SRE/DevOps/Application teams for production support and incident handling. For MySQL DBA duties, you will administer MySQL databases in production environments, set up and monitor replication and HA solutions, and conduct query performance tuning and slow query analysis. You will also be responsible for implementing backup/restore strategies, ensuring security, patching, and version upgrades. With 8+ years of Oracle DBA experience and 3+ years of MySQL DBA experience, you should have proven expertise in OCI and Exadata Cloud Service migrations, RPO/RTO, disaster recovery planning, and replication strategies. Hands-on experience with monitoring tools like OEM, MySQL Workbench, and Datadog is essential. Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills are required for this role.
