Position Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and manage Oracle database instances (on-premises and cloud).
• Ensure high availability, scalability, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery of database systems.
• Apply patches, perform upgrades, and maintain database security and compliance.
• Proactively monitor database performance and troubleshoot bottlenecks.
• Perform advanced SQL query tuning and optimization.
• Work with application teams to improve performance at both database and application levels.
• Design and implement robust monitoring solutions for database health and performance.
• Develop proactive alerting and reporting mechanisms.
• Automate routine tasks using Shell scripting and/or Python.
• Lead and support database migration projects (on-prem to cloud, cross-version upgrades, platform migrations).
• Work with cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI) for database deployment and optimization.
• Implement database services and solutions in hybrid and multi-cloud setups.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts in

  Shell

  and

  Python

  .
• Integrate databases with data pipelines using

  Apache NiFi

  and

  Kafka

  for real-time data streaming and processing.

• Core Expertise

  :
• Proven experience as an Oracle DBA (6-8 years preferred).
• Strong knowledge of Oracle database architecture, internals, and administration.
• Deep expertise in

  Performance Tuning and SQL Optimization

  .
• Hands-on experience in

  designing and implementing database monitoring frameworks

  .

• Technical Skills

  :
• Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills.
• Proficiency in

  Shell scripting

  and

  Python

  for automation.
• Experience with

  Apache NiFi

  and

  Kafka

  (good to have).
• Experience in

  database migration projects

  (cross-version, cross-platform, and cloud migrations).
• Exposure to

  cloud environments

  (AWS RDS/OCI/Azure SQL/Google Cloud SQL).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines for database changes.
• Familiarity with other database technologies (MySQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL) is a plus.
