Description
Role: Oracle DBA Location: Greater Noida Experience: 6years + Key Responsibilities: Oracle Database Administration: Install, configure, and maintain Oracle databases (versions 11g, 12c, 19c). Perform database backups, restores, and recovery. Implement and manage Oracle RAC (Real Application Clusters) for high availability. Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement optimizations. Conduct database patching and upgrades to maintain security and performance. Manage users, roles, and privileges to ensure proper access control. PostgreSQL Database Administration: Install, configure, and maintain PostgreSQL databases. Ensure data integrity, security, and availability of PostgreSQL databases. Troubleshoot and resolve PostgreSQL database performance issues. Implement replication, clustering, and high availability solutions in PostgreSQL. Manage PostgreSQL backups, restores, and disaster recovery strategies. Performance Tuning & Optimization: Monitor and tune the performance of both Oracle and PostgreSQL databases. Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, recommend improvements. Implement indexing, partitioning, and other optimization techniques. Collaboration & Support: Provide 24/7 on-call support for database-related issues. Collaborate with development teams to optimize SQL queries and troubleshoot database issues. Prepare and execute database migration and upgrade plans. Provide guidance on best practices for database usage and optimization. Required Skills and Qualifications : 6+ years of hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA with a strong focus on database support, performance tuning, and troubleshooting. Strong experience with PostgreSQL database administration and optimization. Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and other relevant scripting languages for database management. Familiarity with database high availability solutions like RAC for Oracle and replication for PostgreSQL. Experience with database backup, restore, and recovery strategies. Understanding of database security practices and user management. Experience with Oracle and PostgreSQL monitoring tools (e.g., Oracle Enterprise Manager, pgAdmin, etc.). Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Preferred Skills: Familiarity with cloud-based database platforms (e.g., Azure RDS, etc.). Experience with other database technologies (e.g., MySQL, SQL Server). Knowledge of database automation tools Certifications such as OCP and Postgress
