Job Description

Purpose:

The role of Oracle Data Integrator is responsible for turning the vision and roadmap of the team into reality. Including designing, developing and maintaining applications software aligned with business objectives. Additionally, the engineer act in a supporting capacity by providing fail and fix application support.

Experience:

  • 8-10 years of Technology experience in the relevant domains.
  • Experience with ETL tools, particularly Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).
  • 5+ years scripting experience, preferably PERL and python.
  • 8+ years of Oracle experience, SQL, Stored procedures.
  • Strong experience on ETL Development and data Analysis
  • Experience working with Agile teams.
  • Excellent problem analysis and investigation skills.
  • Experience working with Control-M scheduling and job configuration changes.
  • Oracle PL/SQL, Oracle Database 19c, Sybase IQ, Control-M.
  • JIRA/ RALLY, GitHub, ODI/ETL tools, platform mind-set.
  • Advanced Linux/Unix skills, data tracing and analytical capabilities
  • Industry Background: Financial services sector knowledge

Proven ability to use relevant data analytics approaches and tools to problem-solve and trouble-shoot.

Knowledge & experience with Build languages

Key Accountabilities:

Participate in system design including production of system and program documentation as well as ongoing maintenance

Develop solutions and specifications so that agreed requirements can be converted into functional systems

Develop, program and code technology applications software solutions to meet agreed specifications. Improve, enhance and correct systems, as necessary.

Achieve key Systems Development Life Cycle stages in terms of quantity, timing and quality of all aspects of work allocated.

Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with required standards, methods and procedures

Contribute to post implementation reviews to assess the effectiveness of the solution provided

Provide key support on fail and fix for assigned applications(s)

Develop, Execute & Support comprehensive reusable test scripts and scenarios based on testing plan in accordance with standard procedures and templates.

Complete initial diagnosis of problems, for a system or sub-system or apply known solutions, including documenting problems, progress checking, and escalation to ensure resolution

Comply with project plans, industry standards and regulatory requirements

Qualification Requirements:

Tertiary qualification in technology related degree
