Scope Of Work & Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Oracle-based applications to support ESG data management, delivering features and fixes per release cycle while maintaining application stability and minimizing production incidents.
- Enhance existing systems to align with evolving business needs by defining measurable acceptance criteria and KPIs with stakeholders (for example: reduced processing time, improved data accuracy) and delivering changes that meet those targets within agreed timelines.
- Build interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI and Oracle APEX. Ensure dashboards meet agreed performance and accuracy SLAs (e.g., acceptable load times, refresh frequency, and data fidelity) and provide clear, actionable insights to business users.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to propose and validate technical solutions by providing effort estimates, risk assessments, and prototype demos; ensure solutions satisfy defined success criteria and pass stakeholder validation prior to release.
- Implement code changes following coding standards and peer-review processes, include automated and/or unit tests with each change, and support UATtracking and resolving defects within agreed SLAs to achieve a high first-pass acceptance rate.
- Develop and maintain ER diagrams (ERDs) and technical documentation, updating artifacts with each release so that architecture and operational runbooks remain current and onboarding time for new team members is minimized.
- Support Power BIDremio integrations by monitoring integration health, optimizing query and data pipeline performance, and ensuring data accuracy and timeliness in accordance with operational KPIs.
- Proactively monitor production systems, perform root-cause analysis for incidents, and implement preventive measures to reduce recurrence; regularly report on key metrics (e.g., incident counts, resolution times, performance trends) to stakeholders.
Skills & Experience Required
- 68 years of professional experience as an Oracle APEX Developer.
- Strong expertise in Oracle 19c and PL/SQL (procedures, functions, and database objects).
- Hands-on experience in web-based application development using Oracle APEX.
- Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and AJAX for front-end interactivity.
- Experience with Power BI for dashboard/report development (preferred).
- Familiarity with tools like TOAD and PL/SQL Developer.
- Experience integrating Dremio with Power BI (preferred).
- Working knowledge of Python scripting (a plus).
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
