Operator- Process (Fryer, Freezer)

Position Summary: As a Process Operator at McCain Foods(India) P Ltd in Mehsana, your primary responsibility is to ensure that all equipment in the process section, including Blancher, SAPP / Dextrose System, Dryer, Fryer, and Freezing, is operating at its full potential to supply the production line with the required quantity and quality of processed cut potatoes. Your role involves recording and monitoring both quality and processed efficiencies while maintaining a hygienic environment for the area and staff. Responsibilities And Accountabilities: - Operating of Process Section: - Blancher area: Set equipment to the required standard for the specific product process, monitor water levels, quality, and usage. Record yield loss, color, texture, and breakage. - SAAP / Dextrose System: Set equipment to the required standard, monitor Dextrose / SAPP percentage, water quality, and ingredient usage. Record color and breakage. - Dryer Area: Set equipment to the required standard, monitor temperature, retention times, alarms. Record yield loss and breakage. - Fryer Area: Set equipment to the required standard, monitor temperature, retention times, alarms. Record yield loss, oil usage / quality, and product breakage. - Freezing Area: Set equipment to the required standard, monitor temperature, retention times, alarms. Record temperature and product breakage. Dump, weigh, and record process waste. - Neatness of Workplace: - Maintain cleanliness of walls, walkways, floors, and equipment. - Ensure continuous cleaning during non-processing times. - Ensure staff have clean uniforms and present themselves tidily. - Dispose of waste correctly and keep the area clean. - Maintenance & General Duties: - Assist engineers during breakdowns. - Communicate changes in process to Supervisor and ensure product appearance is satisfactory. - Cover for other operators during break times. - Perform daily checks, report equipment defects, make adjustments, and replace parts as needed. - Safety: - Ensure secure fitting of equipment / motor covers. - Keep floors dry to prevent slips. - Ensure all staff in the cutting area wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Requirements: - Academic: ITI OR minimum 2 years of experience in the Food Industry. - Related Work Experience: Minimum 2-3 years in Process And Packing Area. Competencies: - Critical TECHNICAL Competencies: - Knowledge of OEE, GMP regulations, English language. - Understanding of process, efficiency, and yield/recovery. - Critical CORE Competencies: - Good communicator, coordinator. - Sound analytical skills. - Team player.
