Operations Manager

As a skilled technician at Cummins Inc., your role involves supporting manufacturing business needs by repairing, maintaining, and improving equipment and processes with limited guidance. Your responsibilities include: - **Health, Safety & Environment (HSE):** - Stop work and report major injury hazards, incidents, or unsafe conditions promptly. - Comply with all HSE standards, policies, procedures, and regulations. - Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and promote a safety culture. - Actively participate in HSE training and initiatives to minimize environmental impact. - **Quality:** - Apply high standards of workmanship and craftsmanship. - Support equipment uptime and conduct downtime failure analysis. - Perform work using diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and specifications. - Provide feedback into the Preventive Maintenance system and follow quality procedures. - Perform quality inspections and raise issues to minimize cost and quality risks. - **Delivery:** - Conduct skilled maintenance and repair activities aligned with your role. - Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment. - Collaborate with peers to identify and reduce manufacturing constraints, solve problems, and improve processes. - **Teamwork & Development:** - Communicate effectively with team members and support Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) initiatives. - Complete required training and pursue personal development aligned with business needs. In terms of qualifications, you are required to have a high school diploma or equivalent. Additional certifications or licenses may be necessary for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. Some work experience or intermediate knowledge in equipment maintenance, repair, and industrial safety practices is preferred. Familiarity with preventive and corrective maintenance systems is also advantageous.
