Role Overview:

The Operations Manager will oversee end-to-end operational activities, ensuring the smooth functioning of manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, quality, and logistics functions. The role involves optimizing production efficiency, implementing best practices, driving cost control, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills with experience in the FMCG or food processing sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily factory and operational activities ensuring production targets and quality standards are met.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) across all departments.
  • Manage supply chain operations including raw material procurement, inventory, and logistics.
  • Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and transporters for cost-effective and timely deliveries.
  • Oversee manpower planning, training, and performance monitoring of the operations team.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
  • Collaborate with finance and management teams for cost optimization and budgeting.
  • Prepare and present periodic MIS reports on operations performance.
  • Support scaling of operations and introduction of new product lines.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Food Technology, or Business Management (MBA preferred).
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in operations or plant management (preferably FMCG, food & beverages, or agro-processing sector).
  • Proven expertise in production planning, supply chain management, and process optimization.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills.
  • Knowledge of ERP or production management systems is desirable.
