Operation Theatre Technician

Position:

Role Summary

The OT Validation Engineer will be responsible for validating, testing, and calibrating all Operation Theatre (OT) equipment, ensuring they meet regulatory standards, OEM specifications, and hospital quality norms. The role requires strong technical understanding, documentation skills, and adherence to safety and infection-control protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine validation of equipment such as:
• Biosafety cabinet
• Laminar air flow
• Inoculation hood
• Ot validation
• IVF cabinet etc.
• Ensure all calibration activities meet NABL, NABH, ISO, and OEM guidelines.
• Document calibration reports, validation protocols, and test results.
• Identify equipment deviations and raise corrective / preventive actions (CAPA).
• Coordinate with OEM engineers for advanced testing.
• Maintain calibration tools and ensure traceability of measuring instruments.
• Support internal audits and regulatory inspections by providing documentation.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of biomedical instruments used in Operation Theatres.
• Hands-on experience in calibration tools like:
• Anemometer
• Particle counter
• Aerosol generator
• Photometer
• Good understanding of NABH/ISO/NABL compliance.
• Excellent documentation and reporting skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot and perform root-cause analysis.
• Coordination skills with hospital staff, OEM vendors, and technicians.

Qualification

• Diploma/B.Tech in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, or related field.
• Certification in medical equipment calibration (preferred but not mandatory).
