DEVELOPMENTAL TEAM SENIOR OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST (GURGAON)

Our client is a pioneering mental health organization dedicated to holistic care for children, adolescents, and young adults up to the age of 25. With a multidisciplinary team and over a decade of impact, they have supported 13,000+ families through inclusive, ethical, and evidence-based practices. Their Gurgaon center is now expanding its developmental services with a focus on occupational therapy leadership and collaborative growth.

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Minimum

    34 years

    of relevant clinical experience, compulsorily in child and adolescent settings

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Certification or advanced training in

    Sensory Integration

  • Exposure to neurodevelopmental therapy models and early intervention work with children and their families

Job Requirements

  • Role and Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed functional and sensory profiles and assessments
  • Develop and deliver individualized therapy plans for children with neurodevelopmental challenges, including but not limited to

    Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Sensory Processing Disorder, Developmental Delays, and Motor Coordination Disorders

  • Work collaboratively with caregivers to co-create home programs and support strategies
  • Participate actively in multidisciplinary case discussions and interventions with psychologists, psychiatrists, and developmental therapists
  • Offer guidance and mentorship to junior therapists within the OT team
  • Facilitate group-based interventions, school readiness programs, and parent engagement modules
  • Contribute to internal trainings and professional development activities within the team
  • Assist in streamlining processes and contributing to team-level planning and documentation

  • Strong foundational understanding of child development, motor planning, sensory integration, and functional life skills
  • Proficiency in administering and interpreting standardized OT assessments
  • Skilled in developing play-based, child-led, and evidence-informed interventions
  • Clear, compassionate communication skills with children, families, and team members
  • Ability to document clinical notes and reports systematically and clearly
  • Fluency in both Hindi and English
  • Organizational skills to manage appointments, reports, and collaborative meetings effectively
  • Leadership and mentoring capabilities to support team growth and consistency
  • Reflective practice and openness to supervision and continuous learning
  • Deep commitment to ethical, inclusive, and child-focused care
