Opening For Manager Civil in Bangalore

Dear Candidates,

We have urgent opening in Bangalore with a well known hotel brand.

Role & responsibilities

To manage and oversee civil works for new hotel development projects, from design coordination to site execution and handover, ensuring timely delivery, cost efficiency, quality compliance, and adherence to statutory and brand standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Pre-Construction / Planning

• Review civil layouts, specifications, and design intent for feasibility.
• Prepare project schedules, execution strategies, and resource plans.
• Support BOQ preparation, cost estimation, and tender documentation.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, and statutory authorities for approvals.
• Provide inputs on value engineering, material selection, and constructability.

2. Construction / Execution

• Supervise civil works including RCC (excavation to final slab casting), structural work, waterproofing, painting, plastering, flooring, cladding, landscaping, external development, etc.
• Monitor work progress against approved schedules and milestone targets.
• Implement quality checks, safety standards, and HSE compliance.
• Manage civil contractors, validate work progress, and certify bills.
• Resolve site-related technical issues in coordination with consultants and project teams.
• Budget Tracking.

3. Finishing / Handover

• Validate works against brand standards, approved samples, and specifications.
• Conduct snag inspections and ensure closure of punch points.
• Prepare project documentation including as-built drawings, test certificates, and statutory clearances. Handover completed civil works to operations/maintenance teams.

4. Post-Completion / Closure

• Support in final audits, inspections, and statutory approvals.
• Certify final contractor bills and resolve pending claims/disputes.
• Capture learnings and prepare closure reports for management.
• Ensure all civil-related documentation, drawings, and compliance records are archived.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering (B.E / B.Tech – Civil).
• Postgraduate degree/diploma in Project/Construction Management preferred.

Preferred Experience:

• 10–15 years of professional experience in civil engineering, construction management, and project execution.
• Strong exposure to hospitality / hotel projects or large-scale commercial real estate.
• Proven expertise in civil works execution including foundation, structure, finishing, waterproofing, painting, cladding, landscaping, and site development.
• Experience in conceptual & schematic design development, BOQ preparation, vendor drawing reviews, and project specifications.
• Hands-on experience coordinating with clients, consultants, vendors, and contractors.
• Demonstrated success in both greenfield, brownfield and renovation projects.
