Job Description
We are looking for an experienced OpenTelemetry Developer with strong expertise in code-level instrumentation and observability. The ideal candidate should be able to independently instrument applications, integrate with visualization tools, and ensure end-to-end monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
Implement and manage OpenTelemetry instrumentation for Java and Node.js applications.
Configure and export telemetry data through OTEL Receiver into Datadog for visualization.
Work with both OpenTelemetry metrics and traces for performance monitoring and troubleshooting.
Develop custom scripts in Datadog to enhance monitoring and observability.
Collaborate with engineering and DevOps teams to optimize monitoring solutions.
Required Skills
7–10 years of overall development/observability experience.
Strong expertise in OpenTelemetry (metrics & traces).
Hands-on experience with Java and Node.js instrumentation.
Prior working experience with Datadog (including custom scripting).
Ability to work independently and deliver client requirements.
