Job Description

Data Engineer with expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop
ETL/ELT pipelines
using
Dataflow, Dataproc, and Cloud Composer (Airflow)
.
Build and optimize
data warehouses
and
data lakes
using
BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Pub/Sub
.
Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable data solutions.
Implement data quality, governance, and security standards.
Automate workflows, improve performance, and ensure cost optimization on GCP.
Work with DevOps teams to integrate data pipelines into CI/CD frameworks.
Troubleshoot production issues and ensure high availability of data pipelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications

3 years of experience as a Data Engineer (at least 2+ years on
Google Cloud Platform
).
Strong knowledge of
BigQuery, Dataflow (Apache Beam), Dataproc (Spark/Hadoop), Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer
.
Proficiency in
SQL
and at least one programming language (
Python, Java, or Scala
).
Experience with
ETL/ELT development
, data modeling, and performance optimization.
Familiarity with
Terraform or Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
.
Strong understanding of
data warehousing concepts and cloud-native architectures
.
GCP Certification (
Professional Data Engineer
) is a plus.
