OHL Design Engineer

Role Overview: As an OHL Design Engineer specializing in Overhead Lines for Electricity Transmission/Distribution Systems, you will be a crucial member of the Design team responsible for engaging with clients and contributing to the successful delivery of technically challenging OHL design projects. Your role will involve working on overhead transmission lines up to 400KV. Key Responsibilities: - Provide technical expertise in bids, proposals, and client meetings, representing the Company as a senior member of the OHL team. - Deliver overhead line design on complex multi-discipline projects, including PLS-CADD modelling, line routing, structural analysis, design criteria formulation, sagtension calculations, insulator/conductor selection, and more. - Take ownership of assigned project scope, technical delivery, and client engagement for overhead line works within projects. - Offer expert technical evaluations and problem-solving solutions, contribute to proposals, and conduct feasibility studies to ensure compliance with industry standards. - Analyze existing networks, identify operational challenges, and reengineer electrical schemes to meet techno-commercial and regulatory requirements across all voltage levels. - Interpret results from power system simulation software to develop electrical design schemes and prepare detailed technical specifications. - Engage with customers to present technical designs, drawings, and specifications, ensuring alignment with local requirements. Qualifications Required: - B.E / B. Tech in Electrical and Electronics or in Electromechanical Engineering. - 5-10 years or above experience in OHL design for Transmission Network systems. - Knowledge of Transmission Line Design Standards and power system simulation software. - Experience in OH Line Route Selection, network protection, Lightning Protection, Corona Effect Analysis, Structural Engineering, GIS systems, CAD systems. - Strong communication, report writing, team handling, and project management skills.,
