PURPOSE

To monitor the effective functioning of the electrical equipments in the plant and ensuring

that the system requirements for pollution and safety audits are in place.

ACCOUNTABILITIES & KEY ACTIVITIES OF THE JOB

1.To ensure complete monitoring and control of the utility services in the plant.

• Coordinating with the Manager, Utility for drafting an annual maintenance schedule with activities chalked on a daily basis for the maintenance of electricity and water services in the plant.
• Maintenance of utilities pertaining to DG Sets, power substation (HT & LT) line panels, Reverse Osmosis & the Effluent treatment plant.
• Monitoring the functioning of the RO (Reverse Osmosis) and the ET (Effluent Treatment) plant for effective water supply.
• Drafting the AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract) for the water treatment plants and getting it approved by the Manager, for implementation.
• Carrying out the manpower planning exercise for the electricians required for the implementation of the maintenance schedule.
• To ensure effective maintenance of spares related to electrical SV items.

2.Ensuring energy/power conservation at every stage of production.

• Controlling the electrical energy used for production by taking regular meter readings at various points through energy meters.
• Reconciling the readings with readings recorded earlier and finding out the causes of mismatch if any.
• Suggesting measures and necessitating action for energy conservation.
• Liasioning with the electricity board for issues pertaining to the legalities involved in the power policy.

3.Ensuring the fulfillment of document and system requirements for pollution and safety audits.

• Coordinating the Pollution Control Board quarterly audit and half yearly safety audits.
• Preparing the documentation required for the ISO and the pollution Control Board audits as per the company norms.
• Filing all returns related to the air, water and noise pollution as per government rules and regulations.
• Controlling oil spillage in the plant as per the standard ISO norm.

4. Monitoring the enforcement of safety requirements in all the activities of the plant.

• To monitor the maintenance of the safety equipments in the plant.
• Ensuring that the workers are trained to use the safety equipments effectively.
• Sending mandatory documents like the accident reports or safety reports to the corporate office monthly.

5.Monitoring and controlling the civil maintenance of the plant on a daily basis.

• Carrying out building and furniture maintenance of the plant on a regular basis.
• Monitoring the sanitation of the plant by ensuring cleanliness and effective water supply.

To ensure regular maintenance of the Reverse Osmosis and the Effluent Treatment plant for continuous water supply
