Odoo Developer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Odoo Developer to build and maintain custom modules, improve core operational workflows, and strengthen our warehouse systems. This role is focused on Odoo Inventory and barcode driven processes, including pick, pack, dispatch, and stock accuracy. You will also help develop scanner based workflows and WMS style logic that supports fast, reliable warehouse operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain custom Odoo modules using clean, upgrade-safe architecture.
• Extend Odoo Inventory workflows, stock moves, transfers, replenishment, and internal logistics.
• Build and enhance barcode and scanner driven processes for receiving, putaway, picking, packing, and dispatch.
• Design practical WMS style workflows such as batch picking, zone picking, packing validation, serial and lot tracking where needed.
• Integrate scanner workflows with Odoo using Odoo Barcode and custom flows where required.
• Improve performance for high-volume stock operations, including ORM optimisation and Postgres tuning.
• Build operational reporting tools, validations, and controls to reduce warehouse errors.
• Maintain strong engineering discipline including version control, reviews, documentation, and release notes.

Required skills and experience

• Strong understanding of Odoo framework and module architecture (mandatory).
• Strong Python development skills and deep experience with Odoo ORM.
• Proven experience with Odoo Inventory, stock moves, and warehouse operations.
• Experience building or customising barcode and scanning workflows (Odoo Barcode or equivalent).
• Solid understanding of access rights, record rules, multi-company, and security best practices.
• Strong Postgres fundamentals, performance optimisation experience is highly valued.
• Must speak English fluently, you will be in regular calls and written coordination.

Nice to have

• Experience with Odoo.sh or structured staging and deployment pipelines.
• Experience integrating Odoo with ecommerce, shipping carriers, ERPs, or 3PL systems.
• Familiarity with handheld scanner hardware (Zebra-style devices) and real warehouse constraints.
• Experience creating simple, SOP-friendly flows for warehouse teams, including low-error validations.
