Job Title : NVOCC Head (Ops / Sales / Management ) Job Location : Chennai & Tuticorin (Thoothukudi) Experience : 10-12 years of experience in Sales & Marketing within the NVOCC business. 5-7 years in a leadership role in reputed logistics companies. Prior experience in a multinational company is an added advantage. Strong market intelligence, sales strategy & team leadership skills. Salary : Budget is between 12 to 15 lakh per annum. However, for a right candidate, the budget is not a constraint. Key Responsibilities : Development of sales strategies, defining target segments, values and propositions Formulation of business sales plans, execute sales business and sales development strategies in the region. Ensure sector-wise profitability in the geographic area. Forecasting annual, quarterly and monthly sales goals. Plan, develop and execute new business. Exhibit leadership skills to spearhead the NVOCC divisions through aggressive sales, high revenue growth and brand building strategies. Overall responsible for the sales budgets assigned by the CEO to maintain the P&L . Roles & Responsibilities : To provide seamless service to existing customers and to build new customer base for NVOCC business across India. To focus more on revenue growth by ensuring timely changes in local tariff, reducing waiver incidences and inclusion of new revenue items basis competition and industry business scenarios. To bring consistency in customer service, create a service schedule and a reliable product covering multiple destinations. To ensure that import sales/export sales are conducted to maintain continuous inventory. To assist the Regional Managers-Logistics in strategy policy in terms of valuable inputs regarding sales strategy, product creation, advise change in shipping scenario, new competition building, opportunity to spread volumes to new destinations. Frame Sales and Marketing strategic plan along overall Companys guidelines ensuring best practices in Sales and Marketing are inculcated. Develop new potential market and undertake regular market study of the potentials. Generate Sales leads and create a healthy sales pipeline . Work closely with Branch Manager/Country Managers and BD colleagues and collaborate on BD opportunities and offerings. Making network with overseas agencies, Feeders & Liners and obtain competitive prices . Engage the Pricing team/warehouse/CHB team for commercial procurement and service support. Responsible for proper credit assessment -who gets credit, how much and number of days. Responsible for accounts receivables and accessorial charge management as well as providing all documentation needed for claims resolution. Drive customer retention and growth through strategic account planning and relationship building and develop good relationships with customers, agencies and trade & industrial associations. Work cross-functionally to review pricing & market penetration. Create sales calendar, attend customer events and conduct annual business reviews. Reduce the level of outstandings in line with Credit Policies of the Company and taking consistent measures for reducing the cost of operations and staying within budget set by the CEO. Adhere to the high standards of ethics and corporate behaviour. Developing relationship with trade and industrial associations Submitting monthly report to the CEO by 10th of every month.
