Job Summary

We are hiring a Nursing Supervisor to manage patient care, nursing staff, inventory, and emergency coordination at our geriatric care center in Goa. The ideal candidate must be experienced, responsible, and passionate about elderly care.

Key Responsibilities

1. Patient Care & Coordination

• Handle new admissions and patient discharges
• Coordinate with doctors and families during emergencies
• Provide weekly updates to patient families
• Perform daily patient check-ups and record vitals (TPR, BP)
• Assist doctors during rounds and update prescriptions/logbooks
• Ensure medication administration is correct (including SOS/temporary meds)

2. Nursing Procedures

• Supervise or perform:

o Bladder wash

o Wound dressing

o Bedsore assessment

o Catheter & RT tube changes

o IV/IM administration

• Prepare and maintain procedure charts

3. Inventory & Audits

• Check medicine stock vs. logbooks and Excel
• Maintain weekly/monthly stock reports
• Submit medicine purchase lists
• Conduct regular audits:

o Logbooks

o Medications

o Surgical stock

o Patient hygiene

o Staff grooming

o Diaper checks (real-time)

4. Team & Shift Management

• Manage caregiver ROTA and shift gaps
• Conduct caregiver training
• Monitor staff adherence to care protocols
• Ensure proper logbook entries and follow-ups

5. Emergency & External Coordination

• Coordinate with hospitals, doctors, and therapists
• Provide timely updates to families & admin
• Assist in death certification and documentation

6. Sterilization & Equipment

• Ensure gauze preparation, autoclaving, and date marking
• Weekly sterilization of surgical equipment
• Maintain first-aid kits
• Nursing equipment maintenance and cleanliness is reported and tracked
• The nurse position will require working in rotational shifts. The shift timings are as follows:
• Morning Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Afternoon Shift: 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Night Shift: 7:30 PM – 7:30 AM

Each nurse will be assigned to all three shifts on a rotational basis throughout the month.

Requirements

• Education: GNM / B.Sc Nursing / M.Sc Nursing
• Experience: 1–3 years (ICU or staff nurse experience preferred)
• Ability to manage a team of 20–30 caregivers
• Basic computer knowledge (mandatory)
• Fluency in English & Hindi
