Nursery Teacher

The Nursery Teacher is responsible for creating a nurturing, stimulating, and safe learning environment for young children (ages 2.54 years). The teacher will design age-appropriate activities to promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development while fostering curiosity and a love for learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons and activities aligned with the school’s early childhood curriculum.
  
• Create a warm, caring, and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
  
• Support children’s social and emotional development through positive interactions.
  
• Incorporate play-based and experiential learning methods.
  
• Observe and assess each child’s progress and maintain detailed records.
  
• Communicate regularly with parents about children’s development and well-being.
  
• Encourage creativity through art, music, movement, and storytelling.
  
• Maintain a clean, organized, and child-safe classroom environment.
  
• Support children in developing basic skills — self-care, sharing, cooperation, and communication.
  
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events.
  

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education:

  Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education / Nursery Teacher Training (NTT) / ECCEd or equivalent.

• Experience:

  1–3 years of experience in a preschool or early childhood setting preferred.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  
• Patience, empathy, and creativity
  
• Classroom management and child engagement techniques
  
• Basic computer literacy for documentation and communication
