1. Program Planning Establish and organize the school/home counseling program by assessing needs and setting goals. Formulate a plan of action and program evaluations. Initiate and coordinate school-wide guidance and counseling activities. Seek input from teachers and staff in making decisions about the school counseling program. Assists teachers with the educational placement of students by using appropriate educational assessment strategies. Execute Individual Care plan 2. Establish a counselling laboratory, Psychological testing, clinical/behavioural counselling. Develop Individual care plan/career counselling for every child in homes and shelters with regard to the child’s present and future need and requirement mental health organization in case if the child needs medication/hospitalization/necessary services. Demonstrate knowledge of counseling theories and use appropriate assessment and diagnostic procedures for determining and structuring individual and group counseling services. 3. Consulting Assists parents, In Charges and teachers in understanding and responding to developmental levels of students Present instructional/informational programs to group of students, parents, and teachers (e.g., parent education programs, group guidance, teacher in-service). Increase children’s confidence and gain their trust to share their problems, help them cope with painful emotions, and deal with their difficulties in institutional life. Encourage and motivate the children through behavior modification exercises. 4 Coordinating and communicating. Coordinate all counseling services for students and assists with the same. Advocate all students and assist teachers with the integration of Guidance Curriculum.
