Job Description

Role & responsibilities:

Prepare OT for orthopaedic and joint replacement surgeries as per protocols.
Assist surgeons during total knee replacement (TKR), total hip replacement (THR), and other ortho procedures.
Manage and handle ortho instruments, implants, prosthesis, and power tools.
Ensure strict aseptic techniques and infection control practices inside the OT.
Coordinate with surgeons, anesthetists, and OT technicians for smooth case flow.
Maintain accurate documentation of implants used, consumables, and surgical count.
Check and ensure availability of implants, instruments, and other surgical materials before procedures.
Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient care as required.
Manage biomedical waste as per hospital guidelines.
Participate in emergency ortho surgeries when required.
Support quality and safety initiatives of the OT department.

Preferred candidate profile:

Good knowledge of implants, prosthesis, and ortho instruments.
Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and OT protocols.
Ability to work in a fast-paced surgical environment.
