Nurse - Endoscopy / Gastrointestinal Endoscopy

Endoscopy Nurse assist doctors with endoscopic procedures. Their primary responsibilities include answering patient questions and addressing their concerns, observing patient vital signs, and administering the necessary patient medication.

• Answering patient questions and addressing their concerns.
• Observing patient vital signs.
• Sedating patients before procedures.
• Recovering patients after procedures.
• Administering the necessary medication to patients.
• Keeping the patient informed throughout the duration of the procedure.
• Completing all necessary documentation including patient notes and discharge documents.
• Preparing the instruments, equipment, and supplies for the procedure.
• Cleaning and sterilizing equipment before use.
• Providing assistance to Doctors throughout the procedure.
• Administering IV drips.

Required Candidate Profile:

Qualification:

- Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery / Bachelor of Science - Nursing.

- Current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse in Karnataka State [should possess valid Karnataka Nursing Council Number]

Experience:

- Minimum 2 Years experience as Endoscopy - Staff Nurse from NABH recognized Hospital.

- Demonstrates ability to practice in accordance with policies and procedures.

- Demonstrates ability to accept accountability and responsibility for own actions within Registered Nurses scope of practice and works within the Manipal Framework Competency Standards for a Registered Nurse.

- Demonstrates effective interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.

- Ensures that the quality of care provided to patients is safe, efficient, effective, accessible, and timely and consumer focused.

- Demonstrates competence, confidence and accountability in the safe delivery of patient care.
